There are many different jobs you might consider if you want to work in the golf industry.  Working as a golf professional is rewarding because you get to work a job you enjoy and have fun doing it.  Some of the different golf jobs you might consider include as a golf instructor or professional, in the golf pro shop, and on the golf course.

If you are applying for your US green card through USCIS or you have been approved through US immigration to work in the United States, a job in the golf industry can be very rewarding.  If you love to golf, why not enjoy going to work everyday.  Most people who work on golf courses find that they love their job.  There is very little stress and they can spend time every day working on their swing and improving their game.  There is nothing like being surrounded by people who love to play golf as you do on a daily basis.

One of the jobs you might consider is becoming a golf professional or an instructor.  Many pro shops and golf courses look for a professional they can hire to work with the people who come to play.  Many people like to take private golf lessons and get pointers and tips from a pro.  Keep in mind that you cannot call yourself a pro unless you have passed the PGA exam.  The upside to passing the professional exam is that you can golf in the PGA tournaments if you want to.  If you are not interested in the competitions, you can just work as a professional with other golfers who come to play.  There is a lot of money to be made teaching private golf lessons.

Another job people enjoy on a golf course resort is working in the golf pro shop or on the resort doing just about anything.  In the golf pro shop, you can rent clubs and equipment to golfers, sell clothing and souvenirs, and other things in the gift shop.  A golf resort has jobs in the restaurant for waiters, bartenders, cooks, and even a janitorial staff.  There are so many different types of positions you might consider on the resort.

Another favored position for those people who want to work on the golf course itself is fixing the divots.  You will drive from hole to hold and ensure the course is in tact the way it should be.  Even though it is proper golf etiquette to repair divots and holes created by the golfers, many people continue on with their game and ignore the damages.  You will use a golf cart, drive around the course, and ensure each hole appears as it should.  There may be trash, extra golf balls, and hats left on the course, and other miscellaneous items.

Working on a golf course is something that many golf lovers don’t think about doing.  If you love to golf and you need a job, consider working on a golf resort.
